Columns of Tin Hau Temple
Column Bases

Inside the temple, the rock column bases are in arc valve shape. In the protruding part of the oblate column base, it is divided into 16 equal parts of the cambered surface. Under the protruding part, the column base is chiseled with repeating pattern as decoration.

On the platform of the temple, the rock column bases are in box shape with the middle part of the waist. It is cut into the shape of a double sand clock.

To show the respect of the votaries, the wood columns inside the temple was written in couplet to thanks the grace of Tin Hau.
The rock columns are usually engraved their originals and events happened in the year when they were built.
